Whilst new purchases are generally accompanied for a period by a manufacturers warranty, general servicing and out of warranty repairs will inevitably still need to take place.

The main Hammerhead Engineering Service Centre is based at our Manchester branch; however with regular inter branch stock transfers taking place we are in a position to offer the speedy turn around on equipment maintenance throughout the UK.

Repairs can be estimated and quoted on a free basis, at which point you will be able to quantify the worthiness of a repair without having to commit to an inspection charge.

A general service will include a check of all camera functions and outputs. A cosmetic clean will take place. The head drum performance and tape path alignment will be monitored and checked and cleaned as required. You will be advised of any additional service or repair work that should be considered with an estimate of cost subject to the performance of the camcorder and the engineer’s findings.

The Pre Flight Check of a camcorder will test the performance of a camera giving you the added confidence that the camera is not being sent out with a fault that may develop further during its next important shoot.
