These metal housing lamps incorporate a focusing lense at the front called a Fresnel lense and a moveable reflector behind the tungsten bulb. This allows for great spot and flood control of the light source. They are a little heavier than the open faced lamps and mount similarly on lamp stands. They can be powered from a domestic mains supply but are equipped with C form safety plugs and sockets. 1K are large and put out a lot of controllable light and the 150w lamps are small and used to highlight small areas.
